141 East Houston Street is an East End Capital development, with 65,000 square foot of office and retail space, and located in the rapidly evolving Lower East Side. The critically acclaimed architecture firm, Roger Ferris + Partners designed this 10-story mixed-use building with a floor-to-ceiling glass façade and a sleek, modern interior. CMA, the Construction Manager and General Contractor, executed the exterior Glass Curtain Wall and Metal Rainscreen with the same commitment to excellence they bring to every job.
This best-in-class office building with retail space, demanded the ‘gold standard’ in the security space. ESCC installed a Video Surveillance System with Hanwha products, the Openpath Cloud-based Access Control System (now Avigilon Alta), and a Comelit Intercom System. Openpath’s hardware was ideal for access control. While not compromising on architectural aesthetics, the system delivers the most reliable and safest mobile credential on the market. With handsfree activation of card readers, the Bluetooth connection enables users to enter a door without even unlocking a phone or even removing a phone from a pocket or bag.

ESCC’s knowledge of the building’s infrastructure, along with past working relationships with the other trades, allow us to start projects faster and encounter far fewer hiccups during the installation. ESCC is carefully tracking the cybersecurity of the cameras and recorders that we install, the analytics available, the interface with legacy infrastructures, etc. ESCC’s Senior Project Manager, Rafael Cabrera says, “The number one question I ask from a video surveillance system is this, ‘Can this system deliver the highest quality images and video footage to meet our client’s needs without the time sync and frustration from systems that underperform and underdeliver, just when they are most needed’.
